Dani Alves takes Xavi's No 6 jersey
The Brazilian wing-back has opted to switch numbers in the wake of the club icon's departure to Al Sadd this summer
Dani Alves has taken Xavi's No.6 jersey following the veteran midfielder's departure from Barcelona this summer.
The Brazil international has worn the No.22 over the past few seasons in honour of former team-mate Eric Abidal, but has now jumped at the opportunity to take the ex-Spain star's jersey.
Meanwhile, fellow Brazilian Douglas has been handed the No.2 shirt in the wake of Martin Montoya's transfer to Inter earlier this summer.
Munir and Sandro now have first-team numbers, too, with the former going for No.17 - which had been previously been unoccupied - and the latter taking Douglas' No.16.
Marc-Andre ter Stegen will continue to wear the No.1, while last season's first-choice goalkeeper remains Barca's No. 13.
New arrivals Arda Turan and Aleix Vidal will not be getting official numbers until they start playing in January.
