Subotic: We just had a good feeling
The ex-Serbia international has nothing but praise for the versatile attacker but admitted that he is envious of his team-mates's scintillating skills
Neven Subotic has voiced his admiration for Borussia Dortmund team-mate Marco Reus in the wake of their 4-1 Champions League win over Galatasaray on Tuesday.
The Germany international gifted BVB the lead after 39 minutes of play and caused the Galatasaray defence all kinds of trouble with his direct runs, leaving Subotic in awe of the attacker.
"It's seriously cool watching [Marco Reus] because he's one of these players you would have looked up to as a kid," the centre-back told the official Uefa website.
"He has such talent and none of us can learn it. Either you have it or you don't. I'll never have it – that's why I'm a defender.
"But it's wonderful to see. To have someone like that in the team is something we're all happy about."
Subotic then went on to voice his satisfaction with Dortmund's win, as Jurgen Klopp's men booked their ticket for the knockout stages by maintaining their 100 per cent record in Group D.
"Obviously we're delighted, especially the way we played," the defender enthused. "We played football from the first minute and, like in Istanbul, we just had a good feeling about it.
"They gave us the space we needed and when they did close us down, we were still clever enough to pass around and be creative."
