Ramos happy to switch positions
The Spain international has no problem with putting the team's interests ahead of his own after he was used on the right on Tuesday night
Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has made it clear that he will play in whatever position head coach Carlo Ancelotti needs him.
The 27-year-old featured as a right-back in Madrid's 2-2 Champions League draw against Juventus on Tuesday after mainly playing as centre-back in the past few seasons.
The Spain defender also operated as a holding midfielder in the 2-1 Clasico defeat to Barcelona last month but he has insisted that he does not have any problems with his changed position.
"Over the last few years, I’ve played more as a central defender, but I’m ready to help out wherever I’m needed," Ramos told the official Madrid website.
"The important thing is to be picked for the team. It’s nothing new for me playing as a full-back because I played there for many years and I have to help the team.
"The coach told me that it was just a temporary decision and I’m always ready to give my all in any position."
Ramos has made 14 appearances for Madrid in all competitions so far this season.
